Sebastian Stan eager to take over Captain America’s shield

June 23rd, 2014 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

At the Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con this past weekend, Sebastian Stan was asked if he would like to take over Captain America’s shield one day. The actor who was in both Captain America films did not try to hide his eagerness:

“Yes. Yeah, I’ll do it right now. Look, it’s not up to me. I’m just showing up when they’re calling me. I means that’s it. But I wouldn’t mind a little Black Widow/Winter Soldier story happening.”

We know that Chris Evans has two more films under contract after Avengers: Age of Ultron and that Stan has a nine film deal, of which he’s done two.

This could potentially open the door for Winter Soldier to take on the title of Captain America like in The Death of Captain America storyline.

Personally I hope Cap makes his last stand against Thanos, buying The Avengers time by wielding Mjolnir. Bucky can take over after that.

Captain America 3 is set to be released on May 6th, 2016.
