Last week news began to filter out that there was a new series based on the Terminator franchise was being developed and not only this but a new movie as well that would serve as a reboot and tie directly into the series.
Well, Production Weekly are now reporting that this reboot now has a title, ‘Terminator : Genesis’. With a title like this it’s not hard to guess that this will be a prequel or indeed if rumours are to be believed, the start of a new trilogy.
It’s early days for the Alan Taylor (Thor : The Dark World) helmed project but it’s rumoured that ‘Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and Brie Larson of ‘Scott Pilgrim vs the world’ fame are in consideration for the role of Sarah Conner.
One person definitely set to return to the franchise which made him a star is Mr. Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The former Governor of California told a Melbourne crowd he would be back as The Terminator in the new film which was due to start shooting in January 2014. The star was touring Australia as a motivational speaker.
