December 12th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Christopher Nolan’s next major film, ‘Interstellar’ now has it’s official film site, Interstellarmovie.com. A joint production between Warner Bros and Paramount it is one of the most hotly anticipated movies of next year due to Nolan’s reputation as one of the finest film-makers working today.

For now, the site only gives us our first official look at the new film logo shown above.

Like most Nolan pictures, there is a veil of secrecy over the film’s plot but the official synopsis does give us some details –

‘A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage’.

Directed by Nolan from a script by his brother and frequent collaborator Jonathan Nolan, the film stars Matthew McConaughey (Mud), Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises), Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty), Casey Affleck (Out of the Furnace), John Lithgow (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games), David Oyelowo (Jack Reacher), Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3) and Michael Caine (The Dark Knight trilogy).

The film was shot with a mixture of IMAX and 35mm, a staple if the director and is set for release in November 2014. There are rumours that the film’s first trailer will be attached to The Hobbit : The Desolation of Smaug this weekend.
