Tom Cruise has confirmed that Top Gun is “definitely happening”.
During a chat with a Australian morning show Sunrise, he said the rumours were true.
“I’m going to start filming it probably in the next year,” he said. “I know. It’s happening. It is definitely happening … you’re the first people that I’ve said this to.”
According to Variety, Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski will helm the film for Paramount.
This movie is thought to concentrate on a world of drone technology and fifth generation fighter.
No word on a release date yet.
