WATCH: Meet Mama Electro in a new Amazing Spider-Man 2 deleted scene

August 18th, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

This latest deleted scene from the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, features an appearance from a character that didn’t make it to the theatrical cut of the movie, Max Dillon’s sick mother.

Max’s mother has forgotten his birthday and doesn’t even get the hint when Max reminds her it’s a special day and sings the tune of “Happy Birthday”.

When she says his voice is irritating, Dillon snaps:

“My voice is amazing! I should be singing hooks for famous rappers!”

Of course, Foxx did sing a hook for a famous rapper in real life, having sung the “She take my money…” refrain in Kanye West’s “Gold Digger.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released on Blu-ray/DVD on August 19th.
