We are now only slightly over a month to the release of Marvel’s Ant-Man movie. The film’s publicity campaign has had various ups and downs, though I still maintain hope in the film, particularly after the most recent trailer.

With all of this being said, it turns out that Marvel’s “true believers” may need to be more excited for this film that they already are. According to Latino-Review, we may be getting our first references towards Spider-Man in this entry to the cinematic universe.

Now let me clarify, this does not mean that we will see Spider-Man, nor does it mean that we will see any of his villains or supporting cast. What this means is that we will get small Easter-Eggs for what is to come.

If I had to guess, the reference will probably be something similar to the Doctor Strange reference we saw in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. We will here a reference to Peter Parker, Norman Osborn or OsCorp and that will be it.

However, with all this tempering of expectations to one side, it is exciting that we will begin to see elements of the Wall-Crawler’s backstory be introduced into the MCU. As far as Ant-Man goes, there may be hope for the little guy yet… and yes I am aware I used this pun before.
