Well it’s official, Zoë Saldaña is Gamora the most dangerous woman ith the galaxy!
The confirmation comes by the way of Marvel president Kevin Feige in the latest issue oe Entertainment Weekly. Kevin Feige felt that “audiences will respond to an alien Zoë Saldaña – because they did respond to that one time before [with Avatar].”
Gamora, a green-skinned assassin who is the one of the last of her kind after her species was annihilated by a race known as the Badoon. She was discovered and raised by the evil titan Thanos, who decided to train her to use as a weapon against his enemies. Gamora eventually switched her loyalties and went on to join the rebel Guardians of the Galaxy team, which features Star-Lord, Groot, Drax the Destroyer and Rocket Raccoon.
Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Michael Rooker and is expected to arrive in theaters on August 1, 2014.
