And the train continues!!! Disney is once again tapping their animated movie vault to create another live-action movie. This time, it’s Aladdin! But…it’s not about Aladdin himself. Instead, they’re going the Maleficent route and doing a prequel movie. This one to focus on the legendary Genie of the lamp.
Genies, will focus apparently on the world that Genie is from, and we’ll come to find out how he got trapped in that lamp that Aladdin eventually finds.
It’s the hope of Disney that this movie succeeds in such a way to allow the path to be paved for a full on Disney recreation of Aladdin himself.
We’ll have to see how it all plays out.
