With only a year to go until Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Age of Apocalypse hits cinemas, actor Oscar Isaac has been letting a few details slide about how Apocalypse assembles his army.
Speaking to IGN, Isaac, who will play the blue-lipped prehistoric mutant of doom, had this to say: “Without giving anything away, the recruitment of the Four Horsemen is very cool. It’s very interesting the way that he does that. You know the idea of – the way that cult leaders do – they find people that are in need of something and try to fulfill that thing in them – as it relates to every one of the Horseman.”
Singer has already confirmed that Ben Hardy will be playing Archangel, the cybernetically-enhanced Angel who traditionally fulfilled the role of Death in the Four Horsemen. Given the variety of Marvel’s finest who have been members of Apocalypse’s ranks over the years, it’s anyone’s guess who fulfills the roles of War, Famine and Pestilence.
I’m still narked at the lack of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan in major roles though…
X-Men: Apocalypse opens May 27, 2016.
