Are there Easter Eggs for Star Wars Episode VII In Rebels?

Two very anticipated pieces of Star Wars media are slowing coming to a screen near you. First, is the highly anticipated animated series Star Wars: Rebels, which takes place five years before A New Hope. And then, next year we have the VERY highly anticipated debut of Star Wars Episode VII. A question on everyone’s minds has been: “Will the two be connected at all?”

Empire talked with Simon Kinsberg, the writer and producer of Rebels, and he had some very interesting things to say:

Apparently, he “always felt it would lead into IV and potentially set up characters you might not meet until V, or VI, or even VII, but the notion was that this would stand alone from Episode VII. That doesn’t mean that we can’t introduce Easter eggs that will pay off in VII, VIII, IX.””

Interesting, another question that popped up was the possibility that the Inquisitor (the main villain in Rebels) might show up in Episode VII. His response was rather hilarious:

“On Star Wars I get a Force Choke when I start saying things I shouldn’t say.”
