Remember some time ago Fargo and Legion creator Noah Hawley was working on a Doctor Doom movie at Fox (here)? Well, it seems that with the deal between Disney and Fox finalising today, the movie may still go ahead only now as part of the MCU.
Hawley has recently revealed that he’s met with MCU head Kevin Feige and the movie came up, although there’s no more news as yet.
Hawley said he met with Kevin Feige recently and was asked, who asked: “Are you still working on it?”
“Should I still be working on it?” Hawley asked. Feige didn’t reply.
Hawley said he sees the movie “as a geopolitical thriller more than a standard superhero movie. It begins with Doom putting a dome over Latveria, the fictional European country he rules. He later invites a female journalist to be his voice to the world, meaning its protagonist would be someone without superpowers.”
With Disney now certainly looking at introducing Fantastic Four and X-Men into the MCU, this sounds like it might be a great way to get the ball rolling…
