Some sequels need to have certain character return to make sense. For Beetlejuice 2 that would mean the return of Beetlejuice.
Michael Keaton played the iconic character in the original film, and we’re now being told that the sequel script is being written to allow him to return to the movie once more.
Tim Burton has noted that the sequel being made will depend on Keaton returning. The script is also said to feature a “less is more approach” to the character, much like it was in the first film.
We’ll have to see where it goes from here.
