So, after all the waiting and hoping, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is out there for the world to see this weekend and – love it or hate it – there’s no denying that whatever issues it has, Ben Affleck’s performance as Bruce Wayne and Batman sure isn’t one of them.
He manages to nail Wayne’s playboy persona while being a brutal, terrifying Batman too. And the good news? Well, it looks like he’s sticking around in the DC movie universe, although he’s not saying in what capacity.
Although, come on, it’s got to be the Batman standalone movie, right? Right? Hello? Anyway…
Talking to DC All Access (full video below) he says: “Geoff Johns is a brilliant guy, I consider him to be the most valued resource on all things comic book. And every time I like something in a comic I mention, he goes, ‘Oh yeah, I wrote that.’ Now I just think he’s bullsh@#*ing me, because he says he wrote everything.
“He and I are working together on something and I really am excited about it and I love him. He’s the best.”
It has long been speculated that Affeck and Johns are writing the Batman script(s) and we’re guessing/hoping that this is confirmation that that’s happening as we type.
