With the news still fresh that Robert Pattinson may be our new Batman/Bruce Wayne, talk is already heading towards the next big question: Who will he be fighting and it looks like we may have an answer… or at least an idea.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision, the principal villains will be Penguin and Catwowan with up to six potential big rogues gallery names appearing.
While Pattinson isn’t yet signed on, word is he’s all but and writer/director Matt Reeves won’t begin casting the bad guys until the good guy has signed on but we can expect Batman’s other three big villains, Catwoman, Penguin and Riddler to all appear.
I’m also hearing that either Riddler or Penguin may be gender-swopped in the movie (let’s hope not).
Outside of that, nothing concrete is known but this certainly lends weight to m theory that we may be seeing a Long Halloween-esque adventure wherein Batman goops up against his greatest foes to solve a mystery that is tied into his own origins in Batman: Year One… it would also be a great idea to set up a trilogy of movies as the tale takes place over a long period of time.
But here’s hoping…
Anyway, let me hear who you fancy for the various roles and what you think of Penguin or Riddler being a female villain this time out.
