On the surface, you’d think being a superhero in a movie would be easy. Don tights (or simliar superhero outfit), fight bad guys, make money, repeat. Right? But it’s not that easy. One of the things that MANY stars have noted is that contracts, specifically mutli-film contracts, can be a dealbreaker. This comes into play big time when you consider Marvel and how they like to ensure everyone is signed on for future movies. Their strictness has caused several actors and actresses to turn down roles.

One who has not was Chris Hemsworth, who has thrived since being cast as Thor. He spoke his mind about what he thought about his contract with Marvel.

“I can’t speak for anyone else, but for me it’s been nothing but a blessing to do the Marvel stuff. It opened up every door available to me. Right back after Thor when I did Rush, Ron [Howard] had seen Thor and saw something there and met with me. That was the beginning of that.”

So there you go. While many may complain, and many will still not want to be a superhero on screen, there are those who are happy with what they have, and what they have done. In the end, isn’t that what matters?
