Chris Miller teases big news in two days on Sony’s animated Spider-man movie

December 7th, 2017 by Marc Comments

Well, we’re a year out from the Sony animated Spider-man movie featuring Miles Morales and still not very much is known for definite.

We know it will be apart from the MCU and likely the Sony Spider-man live-action universe (without Spider-Man) too and we know Shameik Moore will play Morales. And we know that Phil Lord & Christopher Miller of LEGO Movie fame (and Han Solo infamy) will executive produce.

And now, thanks to Miller, we know that we’re set for… something in two days. And we’re hoping it’ll be a trailer or at least teaser because we’re excited for this one.

We’re guessing Brazil’s ongoing comic book convention CCXP17 is where the reveal – whatever it may be – will happen as Sony will be holding their panel this Saturday. So you know where to keep you eyes… right here!

UNTITLED MILES MORALES ANIMATED SPIDER-MAN (December 21, 2018 release)

From Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, the geniuses behind THE LEGO MOVIE, comes an animated SPIDER-MAN feature starring Miles Morales.

The feature is directed by Bob Persichetti (head of story on PUSS IN BOOTS and THE LITTLE PRINCE) and Peter Ramsey (RISE OF THE GUARDIANS). The film is written by Phil Lord. Avi Arad (IRON MAN, SPIDER-MAN), Amy Pascal (SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING), Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (Untitled HAN SOLO Movie) are executive producing; Christina Steinberg (TROLLHUNTERS) is producing.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
