Oh! it’s gonna be Marvel-ous I tell ya, absolutely bloody marvellous!

Marvel have recently announced that the highly anticipated Captain Marvel movie has began production with Brie Larson taking on the role of Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel along with announcing the start of production on the movie which will be set sometime in the 1990s.

Now fan-favourite Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) has taken to Instagram to share an on-set photo to celebrate his return to the MCU (which we reported here) after years of kicking ass and taking names on Agents of Shield on TV.

In the Instagram post, Gregg shared a photo of himself standing in front of a door that appears to be owned by one N. Fury:

New job, old friends. #captainmarvel

Gregg’s return to the MCU is going to be massive and one that the fans are very excited to see, especially after Coulson’s “death” at the hands of Loki during the events of the first Avengers movie and not only do we get the return of Phil but we also get a big screen reunion between him and Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury, two of the men responsible of the bringing together of the Avengers and of being the glue that held the early MUC movies together because, without these guys appearing in the early Ironman, Thor and Captain America movies, this whole shared universe that is the MCU may not have worked and would not have changed the way that comic book movies are made.

Along with Gregg and Jackson, Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou will reprise their Guardian of the Galaxy roles of Ronan the Accuser and as Korath the Pursuer.

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Captain Marvel lands in theatres on March 8th, 2019
