Ok, so loads of cool news about Spider-man: Homecoming to get through tonight… and that’s not including the news that we reckon Miles Morales is set for the MCU and soon!
Firstly, a new IMAX poster has appeared online (above), we’re not going to mince words, we reckon it’s horrible. We get the idea (school book, stickers etc) but Peter Parker isn’t four years old in this movie and, well, it’s just a terrible image. Also, there’s bound to be more up-to-date images of Tony Stark, no?
Anyway…
Some fun news: It looks like Spider-man or, more specifically, Peter Parker, has been around in the MCU for a while. Not only that but we’ve already MET him!

Well, that kid standing up to the robot? Yup, you guessed it, that’s young Peter Parker!
Spider-man actor Tom Holland told the Huffington Post today that: “It is Peter Parker! I can confirm that, that is Peter Parker. I can confirm that as of today. I literally had a conversation with Kevin Feige only 20 minutes ago. Maybe I’ve just done a big, old spoiler, but it’s out there now. It’s cool. I like the idea that Peter Parker has been in the universe since the beginning.”
Ok, so look we know this is just a bit of fun, but it is cool… maybe someday we’ll find out that Peter was there with his dad, perhaps. Maybe Uncle Ben died that night? It does mean that Parker’s relationship with Tony Stark is a bit more… layered, doesn’t it? Given that Stark saved Peter.
Anyway, we like it. A lot.
In related news, it’s been confirmed – mostly through early reviews – that Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts is back! Yes, Potts, who was last mentioned in Captain America: Civil War where it was made pretty clear that she and Stark were going through a rough time, so we’re wondering what her role will be in the movie… what do you reckon?
In related news, we’re also hearing that Far Cry 3 actor Michael Mando is in the movie too, listed as Mac Gargan, perhaps better known as villain, The Scorpion.
Oh, and we know that Bokeem Woodbine is in the movie as Herman Schultz AKA Shocker, but we’re also hearing he’s not the only Shocker in the movie! Indeed, IMDB has him listed as Shocker #2…
