Daisy Ridley says the script for Star Wars Episode VIII is “Very, very good…”

December 20th, 2015 by Jonathan Snelling Comments

With the recent release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, smashing box office records and gaining five stars and over 80% on critic sites, we need to look on to the future. To be more precise we need to look 522 days into the future, when Star Wars Episode 8 is released.

Production of Star Wars Episode VIII begins in January in the UK and Ireland. Daisy Ridley, the actress who plays Rey (above), has recently shared her thoughts on the script of the film: “It’s very good; very good. Let’s see VII first and then we’ll talk about “VIII.””

She went on to say that:  “It will be interesting to go back to “VIII” after everyone’s seen the [The Force Awakens]. I’m glad that people are going see [VII] before we start shooting because I think that will be a kind of… not a marker, but some kind of directional thing. I think it’ll be a very different experience.”

Star Wars: Episode VIII is set for release on 26th May 2017

My name is Jonathan Snelling. I’ve been a movie fan for a long time now and last year completed a degree in Film and Television Studies at Aberystwyth University. It’s hard to choose a favourite film but I’ve always been a major fan of Christopher Nolan’s Batman saga. I’m really interested to see how Ben Affleck does in Dawn of Justice as it's set to be an incredible film. I’m usually willing to see any genre but naturally some more so than others.
