DC FANDOME: Concept art gives us a look at Keaton’s Batman with Miller’s Flash PLUS Flash’s new suit

So, just a couple of days ago we learned that yes, Ben Affleck will return as Batman for Andy Muschietti’s Flash movie, but it was also confirmed that Michael Keaton would be in to too as the Batman he played in 1989 and 1992 in Tim Burton’s iconic movies.

And, while we figured we would have a long wait to get even a taste of what that would look like, tonight on DC Fandome we were given come concept art from the movie, the first of which (above) has Ezra Miller’s Flash alongside Keaton’s Batman and honestly… wow!

I’ve waited almost 30 years for Keaton to out the suit on again and, honestly, this makes me feel all sorts of emotions.

Another piece of concept art also gave us a look at Flash’s new suit:

One of the complaints about Barry’s suit in Suicide Squad and Justice League was how clunky it looked and at the time Zack Snyder said it was his first suit and he wanted whoever made the Flash movie would get to give him his next suit… and here we are.

It’s worth noting that Flash has the yellow lightning in the images rather than the blue we saw in Suicide Squad and Justice League, hinting that he is fulfilling his destiny and becoming the hero we know and love.

It has been confirmed that, as suspected, the movie will indeed be the DCEU’s version of Flashpoint which sees Barry Allen changing the entire DC universe – and multiverse – by going back in time and saving the life of his mother. When this happens it leads Barry to a darker reality wherein he meets alternate versions of characters we already know… including Affleck as the Prime Batman and Keaton as the older, grizzled version from the Burton movies.

Interestingly, in another segment of the event Jim Lee confirmed that movie Flash gets his name from Grant Gustin’s Flash during The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event. I know some people aren’t happy about this but I think it’s great.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
