Woah… Zack Stentz is writing the  Booster Gold movie for Warners/DC!

Stentz wrote this week’s episode of The Flash as well as working on Thor and X-Men: First Class, so comicbooks are his bread and butter.

Cleats and Capes broke the story, going on information from this week’s Fatman On Batman, the Kevin Smith online show, whereby Stentz was chatting with smith who directed this week’s episode of Flash.

Stentz hinted that he was working on a feature movie at Warners with Greg Berlanti, the executive producer of Arrow, Flash, Legends of tomorrow and supergirl – we previously reported that the Booster Gold (and Blue Beetle) movie would be Berlanti’s big entrance into the DC Movie universe (here).

So what do you guys think? Would Stentz be the man to do it? We’re hearing that the Booster Gold movie will be a movie similar to Suicide Squad at DC whereby it’ll focus on lesser known characters and will come in at a lower cost that Batman V Superman or Justice League, all the while building the DC Universe brick by brick. Remember Geoff Johns said the Booster Gold movie was happening after release of BvS (here)?

Well now Berlanti has been chatting to THR and confirmed that Stentz is writing the script while he himself will probably direct: “I’m attached to a few films [at Warner Bros.] now, and one, ‘Booster Gold,’ is a DC property. Zack Stentz, who wrote an episode of Flash last year, just got the job, so he’s writing the script now. I’d probably direct that, or I would want to.”

Bring on Booster and Beetle! Oi, Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk, free up some time and hit the gym, the DCMU wants you both!

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
