So, Captain America himself, actor Chris Evans, has annoyed that he has finished filming the fourth Avengers movie.
But is that all?
The actor tweeted: “Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”
Is it just us, or does that sound like a little more than him saying he just finished this one movie… it sounds like maybe he’s finished playing Steve Rogers altogether.
It’s been a fun eight years, Cap. And we hope that, if it IS the end, it’s a good one.
We’ll all know for sure on April 26th, 2019 but for now, let’s just hope that there’s life in the old boy, yet.
And, before you go, a rumour over on MCUCosmic is saying that Avengers 4 will be called Avengers: Annihilation. Before you scoff, this site broke the news that an Eternals movie was happening weeks before it was announced, so there could be something to this, especially since it was the title of a cosmic story in the Marvel comics involving the Guardians of the Galaxy and the cosmic side of the universe in a big way, so there could be something to this.
Oh, and here’s Evans’ tweet:
Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.
