Did Haley Bennett just tease she’s in the running for the DC Cinematic Universe’s Catwoman?

Beautiful Haley Bennett has put an interesting image on her Instagram (below) featuring Catwoman from Batman: The Animated Series which has, as these things do, caused the internet to get all in a kerfuffle.

Has the Magnificent Seven and Girl on the Train Actress just teased she’s up for the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the Gotham City Sirens movie?

Well no. Or maybe. Heck, we don’t know, but she definitely has everyone thinking that she may well have dropped such a hint.

And it has us confused. Why? Well, while she is certainly smart, beautiful and, let’s not mince words, sexy, she is – at least to our thinking – much too young for the role in the DC Cinematic Universe. Why? Well, if she is Catwoman to Ben Affleck’s Batman then she is definitely too young.

That’s not to say she wouldn’t be a superb Catwoman/Selina; she probably would but we’re sticking to our guns here – we reckon she’s not mature enough yet.

Is that just us? What do you think? Let us know..

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
