Did Warners/DC cryptically tell us who the dead Robin in Batman V Superman is?

OK, so look, we’re pretty sure the Robin suit on display in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is Jason Todd, right? Right.

But neither DC nor Warners have confirmed this. But we’re still confident.

However, a post on the movie’s official Instagram yesterday of Bruce (Ben Affleck) looking at the suit in the movie, with the words “Twenty years in Gotham, how many good guys are left?”  on it has the internet wondering if there’s a clue in there.

One Reddit user, Vizgauss,  worked out that yesterday was in fact April 27th and it was on April 27th, 1985 that Jason Todd died in the comic storyline Batman: A Death In The Family.

So the years don’t add up (1985 is 31 years ago, not 20), but the date is certainly a marker and it does seem like the post is a tribute to Robin, Jason Todd, for the eagle-eyed fans.

What say you? Is this a clue proving what so many of us are confident we already know?

Sound off below…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
