Did you spot the ‘classic’ Harley Quinn jester costume in the last Suicide Squad trailer?

There’s no shortage of awesome moments in the latest Suicide Squad trailer, from Batman mounting the Joker’s car to some good exposure for Jay Hernandez’s fire-spewing El Diablo.

However, there’s one small but awesome detail during the trailer that barely anybody noticed but deserves much more attention! Admittedly, it isn’t exactly in what you would call ‘plain sight’ but the keen-eyed viewer would have perhaps spotted it.

During the scene where we see Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn getting dressed in front of a bunch of drooling army dudes, if you look hard enough, you can spot the character’s classic Jester costume hiding in the background.

As you can see clearly enough from the second image, Harley’s classic black and red leather Jester costume is discarded on the ground next to El Diablo. We’re not exactly sure if we’ll see Harley in her old costume during the movie as the trailers have all pointed towards the t-shirt and hotpants look, but it would be a cool detail if she did.

Robbie previously discussed how she tried every variation of the character’s costume before deciding on the look we’ve seen featured in the trailers“We tried on every variation of the costume. I cannot emphasize enough how many outfits, and how many variations of the Harley Quinn costume we tried. We tried the court jester costume, we tried the corset and skirt, we tried leather pants, we tried literally every type of costume possible for her. I really love where we ended up. And who knows, maybe in the sequels we’ll go with the court jester one. I think there’s a world of possibilities.”

Judging by those comments, it certainly looks as though the Jester costume may be making an appearance in the Suicide Squad sequels and we wouldn’t be surprised if it was teased ever so slightly in the first movie.
