News has been light on the Doctor Strange side of things in regards to the upcoming Phase 3 movie. Now though, a post on Reddit from a guy who claims to work at Marvel might just shatter that.

There are many tidbits/rumors that can be found in the post. But here are the highlights. First off, casting rumors. According to him, the following people will be in the movie, along with who will be playing them in some cases.

“Chiwetel Ejiofor is Jericho Drumm (aka Brother Voodoo)

Juliet Rylance (who worked with Derrickson on Sinister) is reportedly Clea

Ancient One hasn’t been cast yet, but it’s down to the previously reported Freeman and Watanabe.

Baron Mordo, the primary villain, is Simon Baker

Wong is John Cho”

While some of these are to be expected, primarily the last three, the inclusion of Brother Voodoo is very interesting. Also is the casting of Simon Baker as Baron Mordo. If true of course.

Then there’s the story of the film:

“The villain of the first film is Baron Mordo, with references to Dormammu ala Thanos in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ The film will deal with either the Time or Soul Gem (with ‘Guardians 2’ around the corner, I presume they are using the Soul Gem, so it’s likely the Time Gem but that’s just me), which will tie it into ‘Avengers.”

Again, sort of standard, but with potential to affect the large scale Marvel Universe, especially with Dormammu, who I believe could be the next Avengers bad guy after Thanos goes down.

Finally though, the man references that Doctor Strange will be in Avengers: Infinity War (not clear if in one or both parts). But more than that, is the reveal that after Doctor Strange meets Scarlet Witch, she’ll appear in future Doctor Strange movies as his apprentice.

This would certainly be a twist on things, but also a potential big avenue for Scarlet Witch. Again, these are just rumors, but it does make you wonder, doesn’t it?

Doctor Strange arrives in theaters on November 4, 2016.
