Donald Pleasance’s Dr Loomis back for Halloween Kills

June 7th, 2020 by Marc Comments

It looks like the new Halloween movies are set to go for a real deep-dive with the upcoming Halloween Kills.

We all know star Jamie Lee Curtis returned for Halloween in 2018 and she’s set to return this halloween for Halloween Kills and then (proabably) next halloween for Halloween ends, but it looks like a very unexpected return is coming too.

A new report – based on audience previews that have already happened – says that Dr Sam Loomis returns in a flashback scene to the original 1978 horror, Halloween (look, the names are confusing, just ride it out) which also features the murderous Michael Myers.

Now, the surprise here is that actor Donald Pleasance, who played Loomis, sadly died in 1995.

So, it’s likely that a CGI counterpart will be used, as no-one could possibly mimic Pleasance’s iconic portrayal… could they?

Whatever happens, this Halloween we know what we’ll doing.

What do you all think? Are you interested to see what they do with such an iconic return? Let me know your thoughts, gang.

Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Judy Greer as Karen Nelson, Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, Dylan Arnold as Cameron Elam, Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam, Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett, Nancy Stephens as Marion Chambers, and James Jude Courtney / Nick Castle as Michael Myers.

Halloween Kills is directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Jason Blum, Malek Akkad, and Bill Block. David Gordon Green wrote the script with Danny McBride and Scott Teems. The music will be provided by John Carpenter. Halloween Kills started filming back on September 16, 2019 and wrapped on November 3, 2019.

Universal Pictures unleashes it on October 16, 2020.

Halloween Ends is all set to hit on October 15, 2021.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
