FIRST LOOK: Check out first image from Kingsman: The Secret Service

Matthew Vaughn directing a comic book adaptation from Mark Millar – we knew it was coming, but that all still sounds awesome to us.

Twentieth Century Fox have released the first image from Kingsman: The Secret Service – the comic was just called The Secret Service – with Colin firth as Uncle Jack.

Twentieth Century Fox are delighted to announce the theatrical release of KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE in the UK and Ireland on 17th October. Directed by Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass) and starring Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Samuel L. Jackson (Captain America: The First Avenger), Taron Egerton (The Smoke, Lewis) and Michael Caine (The Dark Knight Rises).

Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.

Screenplay by Jane Goldman & Matthew Vaughn, based upon the comic book by Mark Millar & Dave Gibbons and produced by Matthew Vaughn, David Reid, Adam Bohling.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
