Forget Jurassic Park, Tyrese Gibson wants to see the Fast & Furious/Transformers crossover

So, you’ll likely be aware that there is a rumour that Universal is considering a  Jurassic Park/Fast & Furious crossover movie (here) but why stop with dinosaurs?

In the new movie there’s a scene set in a sewer in which Tyrese Gibson’s Roman Pearce mentions the Ninja Turtles and, while watching, I thought that was a crossover I’d watch. However, the star himself has his own ideas about an epic crossover between franchises.

“I’m thinking that the crossover would be more Transformers and Fast than Jurassic Park,” Tyrese said in a new interview,  below.

“Cars that become robots and vice versa. We can do that at first and then get to dinosaurs.”

And it’s hard to argue with his logic, especially when you recall that Gibson played the soldier Epps in the first three Michael Bay Transformers movies.

Now, look, I really don’t think we’ll ever see the Fast Saga crossover with any other franchises but the idea of Dominic Toretto and his family using Jazz, Prowl, Mirage and Smokescreen to pull of jobs has me, frankly, a little sweaty.

But, as Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow said to Empire Magazine: “I don’t want to say anything because then the memes will stop.

“Reality is just not as much fun. I mean, have I ever heard anything about a franchise crossover? Of course not. But do I enjoy seeing people take it really seriously on Twitter? I do. So, let’s just keep having fun with the what-ifs.”

Couldn’t have put it better myself… sometimes you just have to have some fun.

What say you all? Would you be on board for these? Let me know your thoughts…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
