From JK Rowling to Stan Lee: Is Daniel Radcliffe up for a role with Marvel?

August 24th, 2014 by Dave Bowling Comments

In a recent BBC Radio 1 interview with Edith Bowman, Radcliffe let it slip out that he had recently talked to the famous comic publisher.

When Bowman brought up Radcliffe going to San Diego Comic-Con last month dressed as Spider-Man, Radcliffe said: “I went as Spider-Man this year. Which is half childish wish fulfilment to actually be Spider-Man and half that’s the only way that I could have walked around the floor at Comic-Con.”

The actor then stated: “I actually talked to some of the guys from Marvel not long ago, and they were saying ‘We’re just going to wait for somebody at Comic-Con to build an actual Iron Man suit, and then we’re just going to buy it and use it for the film.’ Like they can’t wait for that to happen.”

Radcliffe did not elaborate further on his discussion with Marvel. Speculation is rife about the possibility of a role in Doctor Strange, which is thought to be the next film Marvel will officially announce a release date for.

The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
