Has the MCU found its Namor: The Submariner? And will we meet him in Wakanda Forever?

Ooooooooh… has the MCU finally found their Namor: The Sub-mariner?

The sequel to Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has cast Narcos star Tenoch Huerta in a villainous role that has all been very hush-hush so far, but word is that the actor’s role has been revealed and it’s a big one.

It seems that Huerta, left, may be playing Namor: The Sub-Mariner, King of Atlantis in the movie. This would lend weight to the rumours that the movie could have a plot that will see Wakanda, the most technological country on earth, will find itself locked in a conflict with an ancient civilaistion. Could that civilisation be an underwater one? It seems i may be,

There have, of course, been hints at Atlantis in the MCU going waaaaay back to Iron Man 2 where there was a spot pointed out in the ocean on a SHIELD map, with many fans noticing it and presuming it was the mythical country. More recently, in Avengers: Engame, Black Widow mention ‘underwater earthquakes’ which, again, got many fans to prick up their ears.

According to the new report, two other major Atlanteans are being cast with those being Namor’s cousin, Namora, and the warlord Attuma, who is Namor’s enemy and keeps trying to go to war with the surface dwellers; you know, much like Aquaman *cough*.

Much like the rights to Hulk, Marvel/Disney have had issues with the right to Namor which are owned by Universal however, it seems that the character may be able to be used in other movies as long as he is not the name on the posters.

And it seems that’s what’s happening here.

Let me know your thoughts on this one, guys… are you excited to (hopefully) see the Sub-Mariner in the MCU at last? I want to hear it all…
