From Star Wars to Wakanda? Could John Boyega be heading to the MCU?
Well, rumours persist that yes, this may just be the case.
With the news that Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B Jordan have joined that cast just last week, teamed with Marvel movie head Kevin Feige saying previously that the Black Panther will be around 90% African-American, African, and/or black actors, this is not all that surprising. Nor unlikely.
Boyega posted a photo on his Snapchat saying ‘meeting’ which apparently was shortly after Feige started to follow him on Twitter, then shortly afterwards Heroic Hollywood reported that actor was in in a meeting for a role in the superhero flick.
What do you think? Would it be cool to see Finn in Wakanda? Yeah, we think so too…
We’ll all know the truth when Ryan Coogler’s movie arrives in February 2018.
UPDATE:
THR are reporting that Boyega will sadly not be appearing:
“But Boyega’s reps tell THR that the actor is not and will not be part of the movie, which is building up a predominant black cast under the direction of Ryan Coogler, the director behindCreed, as it focuses on the very first black superhero in American comics.
“Boyega’s agent in the U.K. took to Twitter to also deny the rumor, which began when Kevin Feige began following the actor on Twitter.”
My client @JohnBoyega will not be starring in Black Panther. Now for the news…
