Ok, this is not confirmed as of yet, but a string of circumstances as certainly put the newest adaption of Stephen King’s “It” in jeopardy.

First off, only a few weeks before the first of the two films were set to begin production, director Cary Fukunaga had reportedly departed the film. Leaving so soon before production is not a good sign in many ways.

But obviously that doesn’t mean it’s cancelled, right? Well, it doesn’t, but this tweet from Stephen seems to imply that:

“The remake of IT may be dead–or undead–but we’ll always have Tim Curry. He’s still floating down in the sewers of Derry.”

It’s the wording that makes us (and others) wonder whether “It” may be done for good. We’ll let you know if this becomes official.
