Self-styled King of the World James Cameron has been busy.

While working on the sequel trilogy to 2009’s Avatar, the film most responsible for forcing people to spend the next five and a half years wearing comedy Joe 90 glasses to every bloody cinema trip, Cameron has now decided he’s cooked up enough material for four movies.

Yep, having already decided that two sequels wouldn’t be enough to tell the story he wants to tell, he’s now apparently trying to wrestle four movies-worth of story into three.

Long-time Cameron composer James Horner has said: “Right now, Jim has got four sequels, script-wise, and he’s trying to make it into three. That’s where his effort is going, right now, to keep it to three sequels… Because he’s got so much going on. How do you keep it from expanding into yet a fourth movie? A fifth movie, I guess, total.”

So, possibly six films at this rate then? Plot details are currently non-existant, but that really didn’t stop him first-time around did it? (sorry)

The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
