We learned last week that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow had started filming and now DCU boss James Gunn has shared the first look at House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El AKA Supergirl from the Leavesden set.
The image shows Alcock from behind, sitting on set wearing a jacket and hoodie and with her iconic ‘S’ on the back of her chair.
Gunn wrote: Thrilled to see cameras roll at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden on Supergirl, with Craig Gillespie at the helm and the phenomenal Milly Alcock as our Kara Zor-El. Craig brings an incredible sensibility to this story, and Milly is every inch the unique #Supergirl envisioned by Tom King, Bilquis Evely & Ana Nogueira.
Milly Alcock’s Supergirl will appear in James Gunn’s Superman this summer
While the movie is set of a 2026 release, we have had it confirmed that Supergirl will first be seen in Superman this summer when David Corenswet takes on Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luther.
It has also been revealed that leaving Aquaman behind forever, Jason Momoa will be stepping into the leather stompin’ boots of intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo in the Supergirl movie too.
Check out Gunn’s original tweet:
