Ok, this is not confirmed yet, but if The Wrap is to be believed, the Clown Prince of Crime WILL be in the upcoming villain-centric movie, Suicide Squad. And he is to be played by Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto.
Again, not confirmed, and both Leto’s agent and Warner Bros. have had no comment on this report.
However, it would be dang interesting for this to happen. First off, The Joker has never been (to my knowledge) on the Suicide Squad in the comics, so this would be a first. This would also collaborate reports about Harley Quinn being in the movie, as Cara Delevingne has posted pics of Harley Quinn with no reason as to why. As many a comic fan would know, Harley and Joker are never too far from each other.
Another interesting tidbit is that Ryan Gosling was apparently in talks to be Joker, but apparently refused because the contract was for multiple movies.
Tom Hardy, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie have also been tagged for this movie, though contracts are not finalized yet.
