Ok, this one is a mega rumor, almost “this can’t be true” levels of rumor, but, if true, it could be epic on numerous levels.

There has been much speculation on what Batman’s life has been in this DC universe. Mainly in that we know he’s been active for over a decade, and yet not many know about him. But, he’s obviously fought and captured The Joker as he’s in prison and will be featured in the Suicide Squad. So…what’s happened in between?

Well, if rumors are to be believed, a key part of Batman’s history that will be exploited both in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice AND Suicide Squad AND future Batman films will be the death of Robin Jason Todd.

“Jason Todd’s uniform is in a display case inside the Batcave! In fact, The Joker & Harley Quinn are estranged in SUICIDE SQUAD because she feels guilt over the death of Todd. I’m also told that the RED HOOD is now a priority character for DC.”

In case you don’t know, Jason Todd is the Robin to come after Dick Grayson, he was subsequently killed (*cough* by the fans *cough*) by Joker in the “Death in the Family” story arc. But, as death doesn’t stick in comics, he was reborn, and became a near merciless anti-hero called the Red Hood, a callback to an old Joker alias. Though he mellowed out in later years, both him and Batman hold his death as a great failure, and hate the Joker for causing this.

If this is true, and future movies focus on this, it could be a great overall story arc, one that’ll no doubt prove that a Robin can be used in a movie properly. We’ll just have to wait and see though.

Also though, it appears that Hans Zimmer has seen Batman v Superman, and is currently working on making the music not only for the trailer, but for the movie itself right now.
