Jumanji is a film that I have not revisited for quite some time. It was a film that I remember watching frequently as I was growing up, but since then I have never returned to it. With all of this in mind, it seems that I may have to, because there is a remake in the works.

In fairness, this is not new information. The film has been in various levels of development hell for the last few years. However, it seems that the project has finally taken a step forward, as a director is now attached to the film.

The director that has been chosen is Jake Kasdan, the director of Sex Tape. However, despite this announcement, there is still very little known about the project. We know that there is a script written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinker, but other than this we have nothing to go on.

The only other thing we know for sure is that the movie has moved from its original date of Christmas Day 2016 to July 28, 2017.
