If rumours are to be believed, it seems Sony’s next big Spider-man-related movie, Kraven the Hunter, will feature more than just the titular bad guy.
A new report claims that alongside Avengers: Age of Ultron star Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven, we may also see classic Spidey villain The Chameleon appearing with Sony reportedly looking for an actor in their 30s for the role.
Dmitri Smerdyakov aka Chameleon is not only one of Spidey’s oldest villains, but he’s also Sergei Kravinoff aka Kraven’s half-brother. So, in this respect, it would make sense for him to at least be a presence in the movie, if not a full-on villain. It’s always possible that we will see him set up for his own standalone adventure at some stage with this acting as an introduction to him.
Chameleon, as the name suggests, has the ability to impersonate anyone, so we see this being done with Mission: Impossible style masks, however, after Mysterio’s power in Spider-man: Far From Home, it could be holograms or something similar.
Would you like to see Chameleon appear alongside Kraven? Let me know all your thoughts, guys…
Directed by J.C. Chandor, Kraven the Hunter stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson and is due to arrive on January 13th, 2023.
