Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film The Hateful Eight will be the director’s lengthiest effort, surpassing the likes of Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds and Pulp Fiction.
The film’s limited 70mm roadshow release from December 25 will now last an extensive three hour and two minutes, Nerdist reports.
The multiplex version however, which is released on January 8, will be six minutes shorter.
Both versions of the film feature classic overture and intermission sections.
The Hateful Eight revolves around eight outlaws becoming trapped together in a snow-covered cabin.
The Hangman (Kurt Russell) has a prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) in his company due for execution, and he’ll collect a hefty sum if he’s not beaten to the punch by his temporary roommates.
The Hateful Eight has had a troubled road to the big screen, with a script leak forcing Tarantino to shut down the film before eventually reviving it.
