With Star Wars Celebration underway at the minute we have been getting lots of cool stuff… the teaser trailer and poster (here) for The Last Jedi have arrived and yesterday we got a look a the new animates short series focusing on the ladies of the Star Wars universe called Forces of Destiny (here).
And today we got our first look at a brand new character in the movie called Rose and played by actress Kelly Marie Tran.
Nothing much has been revealed about the character except that she’s, according to director Rian Johnson, an everywoman who works in maintenance for the Resistance, but who will come to play a much bigger role.
“This possibility that any of us could step up and become a hero, that’s where Rose comes from,” Johnson said: “She’s not a soldier, she’s not looking to be a hero. But she gets pulled into a very big adventure with Finn.”
So there you have it… meet Rose, the first new character from Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
