Ezra Miller was announced as the DC Cinematic Universe’s Flash literally the same week the hit show starring Grant Gustin aired on the CW. Since then the show has taken off and the expectations couldn’t be higher for Miller who has some big, red boots to fill.

When asked about how he is going to approach the role he had this to say, “Well, it’s going to be a movie. I’d like for it to be an exploration of a human being, a multi-dimensional human being,” he continued, “I hope to realize him as a person, and I think what’s most exciting for me in superhero mythologies is when we feel the humanity of someone who is heroic — or the heroism of someone who is a flawed, deeply human person.”

It will certainly be interesting, if not confusing to see two Barry Allens at the same time with Miller and Gustin both playing the role for their respective universes, though I’m excited to see someone else’s take on the character.

What do you guys think? I’m not super familiar with Miller’s work, but I’m willing to give him a chance. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
