Matt Reeves on The Batman: “I have the story worked out”

January 13th, 2018 by Dave Bowling Comments

The director and writer of The Batman, Bats’s first solo outing in the DCEU, has recently outlined a few details on where he is with the project.

In a recent appearance on podcast The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith, Matt Reeves dropped a small clue on how far along he is, saying: “I am outlining. I have the story worked out and I’m outlining.

With Ben Affleck’s departure from the project, no firm indication on where the Dark Knight’s next solo movie will go or when it will go have been announced. There have been reports recently of Reeves meeting with actors such as Jake Gyllenhaal regarding the lead role, so it’s probable that the movie will be a prequel to the DCEU as a whole. Then again, Affleck has stated that he doesn’t want to be making superhero movies forever, so at this stage it’s still uncertain what’s going to happen. We’ll let you know further info once we know it.
