New Line to produce horror movie set in… the Land of Oz.

March 11th, 2017 by Dave Bowling Comments

It is official. I have now heard everything.

New Line is building on its recent success with horror films by purchasing a script from screenwriter Mike Van Waes for… “an original horror film set in the world of The Wizard of Oz.” No, you didn’t mis-read that. A horror film set in Oz.

New Line have been making a killing (no pun intended) over recent years through relatively low-budget horror movies, with The Conjuring series, Lights Out and the upcoming Stephen King adaptation It being stand-out examples. But this is just a strange one. More info as and when we know it, but… wow.

I blame Riverdale for this…

The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
