Nerdland

One of the surprises of the Tribeca Film Festival this year – that didn’t involve disgraced doctors anyway – was the trailer for Nerdland.

The movie revolves around an aspiring screenwriter (Oswalt) and an aspiring actor (Rudd) making a last-ditch effort to achieve fame before they hit their 30th birthdays, the point at which people are traditionally discarded by the Tinseltown machinery unless they have serious enough clout. Paul Rudd and Patton Oswalt head up a cast that includes Hannibal Buress, Mike Judge and Molly Shannon. The film is directed by Chris Prynoski and written by Andrew Kevin Walker.

The trailer follows on from Seth Rogen’s similarly adult-themed animated flick Sausage Party, but in fact looks a damn sight funnier. Take a look for yourselves and see what you think:

Nerdland is set for release on 14 April
