Nathan Fillon talks that Nathan Drake film and… Booster Gold

July 22nd, 2018 by Marc Comments

For quite some time not there has been talk of Nathan Fillion being attached to the role of Booster Gold and the actor has finally spoke out about it.

Many rumbings were floating around a few years back that FIllion was in line for the gig and his driend and Firefly co-star Alan Tudyk was a possible contender for the gig of Blue Beetle… DC’s other dynamic duo.

And, give the characters’ tone and heritage, we would love to see it happen. In fact, my wife is a big fan of Castle and having watched a few of the last episodes I feared Fillion may have gotten a little old and, em, large for a gig in a superhero movie… but having seen the awesome Nathan Drake fan film (below) I believe I was wrong. He looks great in it and sells it totally.

Anyway, so Fillion has been asked about the role and if it’s on his radar at all and the answer is yes. And no.

“I heard that. He’s a great character. Am I vying for the role? And do I want an internet thing to go crazy? No, I don’t want that to happen.

“Do I think it’s a great role? Yes. Would I do an amazing job… I like to think that I would… I like to think that I would. I like to think I would. He’s a great character.

“He’s such a dufus. I could do that.”

And we all know on-one does dufus like Fillion.

But what fo the aforementioned Nathan Drake fan film? If you’ve not seen it, Director Allan Ungar unveiled a stunning Uncharted live-action fan film which has been getting people all excited/ Check it out below (continues after video):

But will this lead to anything else? Could we see Fillion in a Drake role down the line?

Filmmaker Ungar says “I think that we’re very happy and we’re very proud of what we accomplished, and if it lives and dies as a fan film, that’s great. If Sony… I actually got a couple emails today, I’m not gonna say from who, but there’s definitely people talking about what this could mean as a digital series or something further. Obviously there’s interest in there, and I think if it makes sense and if it’s done right, I’d be thrilled to have a conversation about it and possibly see this specific story continue.”
