New Images of Amazing Spider-Man 2 Suit

February 25th, 2013 by Marc Comments

For the past few weeks, Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb has been teasing his Twitter followers with an assortment of enigmatic snaps from the set of the Spidey sequel – including the black eye-based number above – but now Coming Soon have gone one better with a picture of Peter Parker’s new duds.

Perhaps the most important thing here is, um, that nothing has changed all that much. As the hinting Twitpic above indicated, the only key difference is the much-bigger eyes, harking at the Ultimate Spier-Man run of the comics, all wide eyes and sinewy neck.

In case you didn’t know already, The Descendants‘ Shailene Woodley will star in the sequel as Peter Parker’s other love interest, Mary Jane Watson, and Paul Giamatti is reported as playing the villainous Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich, also known as the Rhino. Another new villain come in the form of Electro (Jamie Foxx) and an old friend called Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) makes his presence felt as Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to swing in on April 18, 2014.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
