Well, it has been six years, time to reboot the Halloween franchise again. As we all know, if at first you succeed, remake over and over.

It’s bound to succeed. Ok, in fairness, it is not exactly clear from the description if this is meant to be a reboot, or a spiritual successor to the original series.

This new film, titled Halloween Returns, is said to be set several years after Michael Myers’ initial rampage. Myers is now on death row, awaiting execution for his crimes. As he is scheduled to be executed, two kids with their own personal vendettas against Myers, sneak in to watch his execution. However, Myers escapes and the pair, along with their friends, find themselves in the firing line.

Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunston (Pacific Rim) are writing the script for the film. Currently there is no release date, or a director, but here’s hoping that it will be better than the last film.
