Oscar Isaac has been chatting about playing Apocalypse, En Sabah Nur – the first, original and most powerful mutant – in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse and he’s revealed something spoilery about his character in the movie.
In the comics, Apocalypse is the daddy of mutant abilities, strength, flight, teleportation, telekinesis are just a few – remember he built the pyramid at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past using his mind? Well, it seems that he may have other abilities in the movie too.
ComingSoon caught up with Isaac and asked about his appearance and powers in the movie. The actor seemed happy enough to chat about it and shared the following: “[The costume] hasn’t been figured out yet, but one of his major powers is being able to change all the molecules in his body, so I’ll be changing all the molecules in my body… It’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
Does he mean that, as in the comics, Apocalypse can change size and shape at will? Will his costume need to be Hulk-like in their stretchiness? We’re not 100% sure what he means, but our money would be on this…
X-Men: Apocalypse will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Oscar Isaac; it is scripted by Simon Kinberg, Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris
X-Men: Apocalypse is due for a May 27, 2016 release.
