Don’t you just love it when a merchandising campaign messes up the reveal of a character from a movie? Like the Lizard last year in The Amazing Spider-man, OZ The Great and Powerful has fallen victim to one such disaster. Mila Kunis’ look as the evil witch has been kept pretty secret until now! Here she is on, yes, a lovely mug courtesy of aintitcool and the Disney Store… the movie open on March 8th
Next up is yet another poster from Bryan Singer’s upcoming Jack The Giant Slayer. This time it’s a group banner. It’s still not totally inspiring us, but it’s pretty. Sort of. The movie hits cinemas on March 22nd
Principal photography has just kicked off onDreamWorks’ The Fifth Estate, telling the story of Wilkileaks’ co-founder Julian Assange. As you can see from the picture released to EW, Benedict Cumberbatch seems to have nailed the look of the international fugitive. The movie is directed by Bill Condon of Twilight: Breaking Dawn fame.
A new pic has appeared of Vin Diesel as Riddick in the movie of the same name coming this September 6th. The movie is a sequel to Pitch Black, Dark Fury and The Chronicles of Riddick and is written and directed again by David Twohy.
I have to admit I enjoyed Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatball, so this first look at the sequel is not entirely undesirable to me, anyway. Here’s the press release:
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where Sony Pictures Animation’s hit comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood’s genius is finally being recognized as he’s invited by his idol Chester V to join The Live Corp Company, where the best and brightest inventors in the world create technologies for the betterment of mankind. Chester’s right-hand-gal – and one of his greatest inventions – is Barb (a highly evolved orangutan with a human brain, who is also devious, manipulative and likes to wear lipstick. It’s always been Flint’s dream to be recognized as a great inventor, but everything changes when he discovers that his most infamous machine (which turns water into food) is still operating and is now creating food-animal hybrids – “foodimals!” With the fate of humanity in his hands, Chester sends Flint and his friends on a dangerously delicious mission, battling hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, apple pie-thons, double bacon cheespiders and other food creatures to save the world again!
Directed by: Cody Cameron & Kris Pearn. The animated sequel is due 25th OCTOBER 2013
